Samsung Galaxy F13
The Samsung Galaxy F13 is yet another refresh to Samsung’s budget devices, which have been coming out back to back. An IPS LCD screen, a primary 50MP camera, 15W fast charging, a huge battery at 6000mAh, and the midrange Exynos 850 chipset. This makes it quite a competitively priced midrange. It ticks pretty much every box, and then some. This phone is certainly a midrange powerhouse.
Design
The Samsung Galaxy F13 comes with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a teardrop notch design for the selfie camera. It’s a beauty, with very even bezels and a very narrow chin, with a screen-to-body ratio of 82.5%. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and supports HD10 which makes it an absolute delight to consume media with. It has a plastic frame, a plastic back and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 front panel. It is very bright and vivid, peaking at 450 nits. Fortunately, it keeps the headphone jack. It has a fast-side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button. It has a loud downward firing speaker, which offers great sound when playing media.
Performance
The Samsung Galaxy F13 comes with the midrange Samsung Exynos 850 chipset, making it relatively fast and excellent for gaming. It has an Octa-core CPU with storage options of 4 GB for RAM & 64/128 GB for ROM. It also comes with a dedicated expandable memory option. Paired with the massive LCD screen, running the latest Android 12 with One UI 4.1 skin on top, the performance feels very fast and premium. Samsung’s UI is rich in customizations, supporting numerous always-on screen animations. No lags or slow transitions on this one. Everything feels fast, fluid, and rich in color.
Cameras
The Samsung Galaxy F13 has a triple camera arrangement on the back. It comes with an excellent 50 MP primary sensor, with 12.5 MP picture binning for those excellent daylight photos. It has a 5MP ultra-wide with a 123˚ FOV, for great landscape and group photos. There is a 2MP depth lens, giving it great immersion when it comes to those close-up photos. The video can support 1080p video at 30 fps, with HDR supports & gyro-EIS stability assistance. The selfie camera is a decent 8MP wide sensor, capable of 1080p video at 30fps. The selfies and videos are great and well exposed.
